Jesus Loves to Restore Sinners!
John 21:15-19

Jesus restores Peter to that mission in a very different way than He restored Thomas. He restores him by taking him back to his sin and addressing the root of it - the failure to love Jesus. This is the root of all sin. All sinful actions are preceded by the choice of the heart to value the sin more than we love Jesus.
Because Jesus restored Peter to Himself and to ministry, we see that the mature of the church will shepherd and serve.
