What to Expect at Santa Margarita Community Church

Worship Services are Moving!

To accommodate our growing congregation, we will begin holding our Lord's Day service at the Dove Creek Church building, 9333 Santa Barbara Rd, Atascadero, CA 93422, on December 22 at 10:15 a.m.

Sunday School for adults and children begins at 9. Donuts and coffee will be served on the patio before the service, so come early to greet others beforehand. The service begins at 10:15 am in which we sing, pray, hear the word taught and preached, and celebrate the Lord's Supper. (View our Worship page for a full service order.) After the service we encourage you to stay and fellowship.

How to Get Involved at Santa Margarita Community Church

Getting involved at SMCC is a simple process, but it does take time of course. Plan on 6 weeks of regular attendance to "get us," but in that much time you will already see fruit in your life and family.

  1. Worship with us on the Lord's Day. Regular participation in corporate worship is fruitful. Come weekly and you will quickly feel that you are a part of things.
  2. Stay after church. The time after is when you will get to know others and will soon end up with plans for dinner at someone's home.
  3. Have dinner with a Pastor. This is an important part of who we are. You will be invited to dinner quickly, that's how we work. This will be a good time to get to know each other, pray together and see if you and SMCC fit.
  4. Add one more thing. Get involved in Sunday School (for education) or a Table Group (for training and fellowship) or Bible Study (for study).
  5. Practice family worship. What unites a group of people most is common vision and common practice. Begin to read, pray and sing around your dinner table and you will never want to stop.
  6. Sign up for a Life Together class. This is where we discuss who we are, what are doing and why we do it that way. It is also our path to membeship for those who desire to covenant together with us.

The door is open, we'd love to have you. Join in with us and your will soon be rejoicing in the fruit of the ordinary means of grace in your life.
